Nollywood actress, Shine Rosman has said Nigerian movie stars are not as rich as many assumed. Featuring in a recent podcast hosted by her colleague Baaj Adebule, Rosman said the most common misconception about Nollywood stars is that they are very rich, which is not entirely true.  She explained that contrary to the misconception, a lot of Nollywood actors are struggling financially. She noted that the movie stars who are financially buoyant make most of their money from other ventures.  Rosman said, “The most overrated misconception about Nollywood stars is that we have money. I don’t know why people assume we have money. Some of us do have money, but from other ventures. But many of us are struggling financially.”

The organisers of Big Brother Naija have officially announced the commencement of auditions for the show’s 11th edition. Naija News reports that this year’s audition process will be conducted physically in selected cities across Nigeria. According to information shared on the show’s Instagram page, registration for interested applicants will open from May 16 and close on May 20. Only candidates who successfully complete the registration process within the stipulated period will qualify for the next stage of auditions. P Nollywood actress and producer Sandra Okunzuwa has recounted how her ex-boyfriend broke up with her for kissing an actor in a movie. Speaking in a recent episode of the BTS Reality podcast, Okunzuwa recalled that her ex ended their relationship after someone allegedly sent him a movie scene in which she kissed a male colleague. Nollywood actor Lanre Adediwura has revealed that he faced financial difficulties after working on the Wura television series, stating that YouTube productions eventually helped him regain stability.
